Chess Level 1

Chess- Level 1, For Players USCF 500 and Below

Sundays from 4:00-5:00pm, at Code Ninjas Hillsborough

Format: Class time will be split between a group lesson and sparring games (or thematic drilling). Students will receive homework after each class. It is our expectation that the homework be completed, or at least seriously attempted, before the next class.

Material: Lessons will include, but not limited to, opening principles, practical endgames and mating patterns, study of famous/thematic games, student game review, tactical and strategic motifs. One complimentary quads tournament entry fee is included in this monthly package. 

Instructor: Coach Oluwaseun “Seun” Bisiriyu-Salam is a certified FIDE Instructor (FI), a chess expert with over 23 years of tournament play FIDE (2188 highest), and a US Chess Federation Certified Club Tournament Director. He also has a FIDE Organizer norm. Seun has taught chess to thousands of children from a number of schools in New York and New Jersey.
